2017 Bike Drive

For the month of May (Bike Month) the Pride Sports League will be collecting new/used/old bicycles along with bike parts and donating them to the Des Moines Bicycle Collective. We will also accept bike tools, bike stands, hubs, wheel-sets, saddles, seat posts, stems, and pedals.

Dropoff locations: 
- At the beginning of scheduled bicycle rides throughout the month
- At scheduled home softball games throughout the month

Rides are scheduled for the first  Saturday and third Sunday of each month beginning in  May. We'll meet at 10:00 a.m. at Birdland Marina for all rides (unless otherwise noted). Below are the dates; we will set up events on facebook for each ride as well. After the ride, feel free to stick around at Captain Roy's and grab a bite to eat and socialize.

*there is ample parking at Birdland Marina - we will meet near the brick building where the restrooms are located

*please arrive early enough to be unloaded and ready to start at the scheduled times.

*Indicating that you are joining us  (on the applicable Facebook or meetup event) is recommended but not required

* rides are at your own pace. We may stop at the midpoint for a rest and as needed throughout the ride.

*It is a casual group and all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to participate! Children are welcome! 

*You are responsible for your own equipment and safety gear. Helmets should be worn at all times when bicycling. Be aware of laws and trail etiquette. If you don't know, ask!
